What class is this?
Home Firearm Safety (LTC-007) is a four-hour, classroom-only course designed by the National Rifle Association and approved by the Massachusetts State Police. A Massachusetts gun safety course completion certificate qualifies you to apply for a LTC-A, LTC-B, or Firearms Identification card (FID) in your municipality.
Course Description:- Review and discuss gun safety rules
- Discuss the safe use, handling and storage of firearms
- Identify methods for securing and childproofing firearms
- Learn the applicable laws relating to the possession, transportation and storage of firearms
- Discuss the operation, potential dangers and basic competency in the ownership and usage of firearms
- Practice unloading different types of firearms
- Overview of types of ammunition
- Demonstration of cleaning firearms
- Review the permit application process
- Answer all of your questions
This Home Safety Course fulfills Massachusetts law requirements (Chapter 140 Section 131P (b)) for LTC-007, NRA Home Safety Course.
How much does it cost?
The cost of this gun safety course is $100. It includes the class book, certificate, handouts and your instructor's firearms and training expertise.
When is the class?
A time to fit everyone's needs. Your instructor schedules several 'group' firearm safety classes a month in the Arlington, MA area.

Where is it taught?
This Massachusetts gun safety course is taught in a comfortable, non-threatening environment. Your instructor's small classes allow students a more comfortable learning environment and multiple opportunities for firearm safety questions. Class size can be from one to 6 students. His base of operations is currently in the Arlington, MA area, but he is 'portable' and can provide training at a suitable location of your choosing for groups of 5 or more.
Why do I need this class?
The Massachusetts Gun Control Act of 1998 requires all individuals applying for a LTC or FID to attend a Massachusetts firearms safety course and receive a certificate of successful completion. This gun safety course fulfills this requirement and provides lots of information to help keep you and your family safe.
